As a child
care worker in Islington we can't pretend that your work will
not be very challenging. It will be. Our service can only be
as good as our front line staff, and we recognise that your work
will be pivotal in all that we do. We expect you to be committed,

You will be part of a team of nine social work staff, two assistant
team managers, and one team manager, undertaking the normal range
of social work tasks with children and families (we have a separate
referral and assessment service).
The post requires you to be lively, organised, flexible and creative,
able to reflect on your practice, and open to challenge and change
yourself.
Islington is an interesting and lively multi-cultural inner London
Borough, with good transport links. It does, however, have a
range and depth of deprivation and inequality that belies its
public image.
