We urgently require contributions for the magazine.

Wherever possible, contributions should be in an 'electronic' format - e-mail, floppy disc, zip disc etc.

In particular, contributions will be welcome from :

  • people working directly with children or young people in childcare or social education
  • children and young people with experience of childcare or social education


Looking for Articles….

  • Do you have any articles you want to get published?
  • Is your work innovative? Do you want to tell people about it?
  • Do you have a bright idea which will solve all the world's problems ? or perhaps just an answer to one of them?
  • Do you have a person or situation you think would make the subject of a good story?
  • Is there someone you have always looked to as the source of your professional inspiration you would like to write an appreciation about?

Looking for Pictures….

  • Do you have any good photos of activities, people or places which illustrate childcare or work with children and young people (with the appropriate permissions, of course)?
  • Are you good at cartoons?

Looking for Ideas….

  • Do you need information from other readers, perhaps for a project or research?
  • Have a got a poem or a piece of creative writing?
  • Have you got something you want to grumble about?

  • Don't be put off by the title children.uk. We want contributions from round the world, and we hope that children.uk will be of interest to people in every continent.

  • Libellous
  • Obscene
  • Likely to leave people vulnerable.

We reserve the right to edit, or to disguise contributors and people and places mentioned in contributions where we feel it is necessary.

The wishes of people who wish to contribute anonymously will be respected. children.uk will require them to provide their name and address, and where necessary a means of verifying their identity. However, an assurance is given that their names and addresses will be withheld in correspondence, and names will be disguised in editorial material.
