A world without colour is like a sea with no fish,
A pen with no ink and no food on a dish

A world without colour is like a bird with no wings
A candle without fire and an artist that never sings

A world without colour is like a girl with no hair
A boy with no football and a truth with no dare

A world without colour is like a book with no words
A tiger without stripes and fields with no herds

A world without colour is darkness, no light
The world would be boring; we would struggle and fight

Simon

poetry and art by children and young people
who are being looked after.
