Published monthly by the National Association of Child Care Workers
of South Africa as "a journal for those who work with troubled
children and youth at risk". It contains material on current
childcare practice, mainly from South Africa but also including
articles from other countries. A lively and interesting publication.
Children Now
Published quarterly by the National Children's Bureau for its
members, with contents focusing on current childcare issues.
Very relevant, but slim.
Community Care
Published weekly by Reed Business Information on sale with a
cover price of £1.50. The main UK social services magazine,
describing itself as the magazine for everyone in social care
and including some material on issues concerning children and

FICE Bulletin
An occasional publication, usually containing the papers given
at recent seminars held by the Federation Internationale des
Communautes Educatives, in French, German and English, and circulated
to FICE members through their National Sections. The latest edition
is on the FICE-International website.
FICE Newsletter
An occasional newsletter published by the office of the Federation
Internationale des Communautes Educatives, giving FICE news for
its members.
Mouv'ANCE
Published monthly in French by l'Association Nationale des Communautes
Educatives (National Section of FICE in France) for members concerning
all forms of care and special education for children and young
people with disabilities or social or emotional problems. Full
and varied contents.
Social Caring
Published quarterly by McMillan-Scott plc as the official publication
of the Social Care Association, mainly for its members, containing
articles about all forms of social care, including some on childcare.
Socialna Pedagogika
Published quarterly as the professional journal of Zdruzenje
za socialno pedagogiko - the Slovenian Association of Social
Pedagogy. Mostly in Slovenian, but with contents, summaries and
a few articles in English.
Who Minds?
Published quarterly by the National Childminding Association
(NCMA) for members, who are predominantly childminders, concerning
care of young children. A lively publication, covering national
and NCMA news relevant to childminding. |
