OYW
is a Christian charity currently active in schools, projects, community
and restorative justice work, and is a foundation partner in the 'Centre
for Youth Ministry' education and training programme. As an experienced,
innovative professional leader, you will guide OYW through a further
period of expansion and development.
Key
skills and experience will include:
" Proven track record in Christian leadership

" Communication by written and spoken word
Salary
circa £23,000 to £27,000 pa

Worker
for
Holmewood Salvation Army

and Community Centre, Bradford
Holmewood
Salvation Army is looking for a committed Christian with a vision
and passion for unchurched young people to develop new projects, particularly
with teenage boys and young men, in the Holmewood estate, Bradford.
This
is a new full time post with opportunity for gaining a professional
qualification.
Salary: £12,000, but this is negotiable if you have relevant
qualifications
Hours: 35 hrs per week
The post will include:
¨
Face to face youth work in drop-in clubs
¨
Co-ordination of youth Cell Groups
¨
Initiating new evangelistic opportunities
¨
Outreach work with young people on the streets
¨
Engaging with young people in their school environment
¨
Pioneering new initiatives, particularly with teenage boys and young
men
¨
Locating resources, including volunteers
¨
Networking with other groups and funding sources
¨
Working alongside the existing female youth worker
