The focus of this magazine is the care and social education of children, but the events of 11th September were so momentous that they affected children across the world. We felt that it would be appropriate to offer our small tribute to those who died and suffered loss, whether in the World Trade Center and its vicinity, or the Pentagon, or on one of the planes.

What we can do is limited, but even from a distance we can offer our sympathy, and the pages of the magazine can be used by people who wish to email us about the events and their impact, especially their impact on children and young people.

We have therefore set up a separate Section of the magazine for the contributions which relate to this subject. The Contents List below includes some items in other parts of the magazine, where contributors have addressed issues concerning that day, but they can be accessed equally from this List.
